Men's Ministry Online Group Getting Started Guide

If you are familiar with other online communities you should have no trouble creating and registering an account for our Men’s Ministry Online Group/Community. We provide these instructions to assist those who do not have prior experience and wish to become a member of our online group/community.

We recommend that you print this page before moving forward, allowing you to reference the instructions as you move forward with registering with our online group.

1) From our Home page (http://www.amenadventist.org) click on “Online Group”.

Note: Here you may read any of the General Discussion Topics as a “Guest.” To leave a reply, to start a new topic, or to enter a “Private” discussion area you must be a registered member.

2) To register as a member, click on the blue “Register” link at the end of the “Welcome, Guest” line.

Note: You may also click on the blue tab labeled “Register” above the “General Category” box.

3) Choose a Username.

Note: Your “username” is your screen name, choose wisely. We recommend a username with no more than 16 characters. As the rules state, choose a name that will not be offensive, suggestive of anything illegal, or inappropriate for a group of Christian men.

4) Fill in the e-mail box with your current address.

Note: You must have a working e-mail address. You may check the box on the right to hide your address from the public (we highly recommend that you hide your email address).

5) Choose a password with no more than 23 letters, numbers, symbols or a combination of the three.

Note: Be careful about capital letters as the password is case sensitive. You should not use words that may be easily guessed by hackers. We strongly recommend that you include both letters and numbers in your password.

6) Repeat the password in the second box for verification.

Note: If you forget your password it can be emailed to you by clicking “Login” and then selecting “Forgot your password?”

7) Type the funny looking letters into the box on the right in lower case, with no spaces. (This is to help prevent spammers)

8) Check the box that says you are over the age 13. (If you are over the age 13)

9) Read the Online Group Rules by clicking on the blue link in the first paragraph of the registration agreement.

10) Be sure to check the box that says, “I agree.” And then click the “Register” button.

11) You will receive an activation email. You can not post to the Online Group until you receive this email and activate your account by selecting the link found within it. If you do not receive this email within a few minutes please email us and we will assist you.

Note: If you are running a Junk Mail filter on your email, you may need to check you Junk Mail/AntiSpam fold. Please make sure to include our email address ( ) in the your accepted email list. (This will ensure mail from us gets delivered to your inbox.)
